Please Note: If you don’t rent a stall you will need to bring your own Containment system (panels, etc.)

  • If you choose to bring a motor home/RV there will be ample space but no hook ups and the price will be the same. There will be designated spaces assigned.
  • Horses are available to rent for $150.00 for the weekend. (Includes tack unless you wish to bring your own)
  • If you bring and ATV or other off road vehicle you will be restricted to ranch roads only and must keep a safe distance from all horses.

There is housing and tent cabins available on a limited basis and available on a first come, first serve basis. There are 35 beds available otherwise you will need to bring camping equipment. Please indicate if you would like sleeping accommodations when you reply.

There will be turn outs for horses

There will be a free Rider Clinic on Friday afternoon.

Activities:

Friday: Arrive anytime after 9:00 am. There is a pool table, card room, horse shoes, bocce ball and this year we are allowing fire arms as there is a gun range on property (All guns must be checked in and locked up while not at the gun range). There will be time for a ride to explore the ranch, a Vaquero Traditions Clinic and the “Daniel Boone” contest in the afternoon (Archery, Axe and Knife Throwing)

Saturday:  Marksmanship Contest (gun range) in the morning, Trail ride & BBQ lunch, Ranch Sorting, Ranchers Choice in the afternoon.

Evening’s Entertainment: The Rodeo Band, Cocktail Hour at 5:00pm, Cards, Calcutta Auction on Friday Night, Dinner at 7:00

As consideration for being permitted by Encuentro de Vaqueros, a Calif 501c3 Non Profit Corp (“EDV”), to participate in these activities and use related facilities, I hereby agree that I, my assigns, heirs, distributees and legal representatives will not make claim against, sue or attach the property of EDV, Bar SZ Ranch, their owners and agents, Trail Ride sponsors, other participants, owners of horses, volunteers and all other individuals or entities associated with the event, on account of injury or damage resulting from negligence or other acts , howsoever caused by any employee, agent or contractor of EDV, Bar SZ Ranch owners and agents, Trail Ride sponsors, other participants, owners of horses, volunteers and all other individuals or entities associated with the event, as a result of my participation in the trail ride. All EDV Events must harmonize with the mission, values and reputation of EDV. Any behavior or action on the part of a Trail Ride Participant found to be disruptive, lewd or dangerous to the Participant or others, or which may reflect adversely on EDV or its Sponsors or Beneficiaries shall constitute grounds for EDV to require that the Participant immediately leave the ranch and forfeit any participation fees paid.

Both of these great organizations have successful youth programs training young men and women in the culinary arts and working with at risk young men and women to graduate High School and obtain their pilots license.

  • Firearms Will be Locked Up When Not on the Gun Range
